We believe that everyone can benefit from taking craft classes.
If you’d like to take a class and you don’t think you or your family can afford the tuition, you may apply for a scholarship to assist you. Most of our scholarships are based on financial need, as well as on the potential for the student to benefit from instruction.
Adult scholarships (ages 18+ years) are available for the Center’s 6-week or 12-week classes (not short term workshops) and cover tuition only; any materials or studio fees must be paid for by the student. Adult scholarships may require an interview on the phone or in person. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All supplemental application materials (letters of reference, financial need documentation, etc) must be received by the application deadline for an application to be considered complete and eligible for consideration.
Youth & Teen Scholarships (ages 6-17 years) are available for our 6-week Youth Craft + Creativity classes and include all materials.
An email or phone call will inform you whether you qualify for a scholarship. Decisions on placement generally occur less than a week before classes begin as we wait to see if there is sufficient enrollment for the class to run. Placement in preferred class is not guaranteed.
Application Deadline: All application materials are due to the Craft Center two Fridays before the scheduled start of the session for which you are applying.
Applications may be mailed or dropped off to the Craft Center's front office:
