The Teen Apprentice Program, known as T.A.P. began in the fall of 2000. It helps Worcester High School students better transition into adulthood by offering them an intensive two to three year apprenticeship in our studios with master craftspeople.
The first year, participants are offered a survey of the metals, clay, glass, fiber arts and wood studios. The second year, participants choose a studio in which to build a body of work. An optional third year finds participants serving as mentors to their peers. Students are supported in their artistic and personal growth by the T.A.P. Coordinator and by staff at Dynamy, a leading educational organization in Worcester.

In addition to their studio work, students take trips to artisans' studios and to the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. They are also paid to work as assistants in our studios and learn to curate and exhibit their own work.
