Give to Support the Craft Center

donate nowAs a non-profit organization, the Worcester Center for Crafts relies upon the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations who care about providing arts education opportunities for adult learners, youth and aspiring craft professionals. Just as our activities as an educational institution are diverse, so are the many ways of supporting our mission!

If you are interested in supporting any of the programs listed below or if you would like more information on giving to the Craft Center, please call us at 508.753.8183 ext. 3019.

The following are areas or programs you can support with your gift.

Annual Fund

Tuition and fees only cover a portion of the Craft Center’s operating costs. We rely on your gifts to help make up the difference. We invite you to become part of the group of generous individuals who contribute to the Craft Center’s Annual Fund to support our studios, scholarships, youth programs artists-in-residence, and other key elements of our educational programs. Gifts of any size are welcomed and appreciated.

Studio Funds

All of our studios -- clay, wood, textiles, metals, and glass -- require an enormous amount of care, attention, supplies and equipment to function at the level required by our Center. Gifts to studio endowment funds will help us keep our studios working in top form, in order to provide quality educational experiences for our students.

George & Anna Krikorian Gallery

The 2,600 square foot Krikorian gallery is New England's premier visual arts display space. Your gift will help to sponsor the Krikorian Gallery Program which hosts 10 shows annually.

Youth Programs

Our youth programs are geared towards breaking down barriers to the arts for urban youth. Support of these programs provides a personal experience in self-expression for young people, through work in a variety of media, with instructors who are as caring as they are creative.

Artists-in-Residence Program

A gift to the Artists-in-Residence Program will help the Craft Center sustain its commitment to providing an unusual opportunity for artists who are about to embark upon graduate study or a profession in crafts. Giving to the Artist-in Residence Program will allow individual artists to focus on creating a body of work and an individual voice in their media. These artists in turn enrich the Craft Center community by sharing their knowledge through teaching and contributing to the vibrant life of their studio and the CraftCenter community.

Scholarships

Youth Scholarships

As a community resource we are deeply committed to providing access for economically disadvantaged young people to participate in our programs. Your gift will allow young people to experience the unique, hands-on educational opportunities we provide in a variety of programs and classes.

Adult Program Scholarships

Often there is a strong desire to experience creative expression in our studios, but for a variety of reasons, either long or short-term, costs for classes at our Center can be prohibitive for some of our students. By giving to the Adult Program Scholarship Fund, you will make it possible for adult students to nurture their creative spirit through learning about and creating visual art.

Professional Craft Studies Scholarships

One of few studio-arts programs in the nation, our two-year certificate program provides the foundation for further study or a professional career in crafts. A gift to the School for Professional Crafts Scholarship Fund will help remove limited financial resources as a barrier to participation in and completion of this program.

A Legacy Gift

Consider creating a lasting legacy that will help support the Craft Center’s educational programs into the future. The simplest way to do this is to remember the CraftCenter in your will through making a bequest. Other specialized planned giving options to the CraftCenter can also provide you with tax advantages, estate planning benefits and way to be a part of the future of the CraftCenter.
