Executive Director

The Worcester Center for Crafts is seeking a dynamic new Executive Director to lead this 150 year old cultural organization in pursuing 21st century offerings of quality education in a range of craft media for youth to adult learners, supporting the craft artist through opportunities for professional development and community interaction, and developing and supporting the market for craft through advocacy and encouraging public appreciation for craft. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced non-profit leader that is creative, resourceful and decisive. The ideal candidate will have strong fundraising experience, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and will be a talented manager of staff. We seek a strategic, creative collaborator and thinker with marketing and resource development success, and experience working with an engaged, volunteer Board.

Staff Accountant Intern

Self-starter with strong communication, customer service and organizational skills to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting needs for $1.5M non-profit organization in Worcester. The organization manages multiple complex revenue centers including philanthropy, education and retail. Responsibilities include accounts payable, billing, bank reconciliations, payroll, cash receipts, general ledger journal entries and preparation of trial balance through financial reporting. May involve some budget projects depending on skill level. Requires minimum of 2 full years completed undergraduate course work with an accounting major (or strongly related degree). Some field experience preferred. Intermediate excel knowledge required. QuickBooks experience helpful.
